The Finance department plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency and compliance, supporting the company’s vision of excellence.
Functie
As the SOx Control Specialist, you will:
- Internal Control Framework: Lead the design, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of an internal control framework in compliance with US and Dutch GAAP and SOX standards.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen controls and mitigate risks.
- Testing and Remediation: Conduct regular control testing, identify deficiencies, and develop remediation plans.
- Audit Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Advise Finance, IT, and other departments on control design while fostering a culture of risk awareness.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiency in processes through best practices and risk assessments.
- Reporting: Provide comprehensive reports to senior management on control activities and remediation progress.
Functie-eisen
To excel in this role, you bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A professional certification such as CPA, CA, CIA, or ACCA (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in audit, risk management, or internal controls, preferably with Big 4 experience or within fashion/retail industries.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Infor M3, Oracle) and strong IT and financial control knowledge.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex issues to stakeholders confidently.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced environment.
